Cute and funny, huh?  This is the kind of poetry I can see myself writing (since I am the suck at poetry).

This comic is taken from Kate Liu’s blog Happy Lemon.  Kate is an artist who we stumbled upon one night while perusing through Misty’s Kindle Fire library of books.

We were looking for a quick bedtime story, when Misty stopped on a book with a cute cover titled, Bunny’s Alphabetical Misadventures by Kate Liu.  The two of us ended up reading through the whole book, laughing amongst ourselves at Kate’s adorably quirky comic strips.  It’s a bit of Pooh meets “Cathy” meets The Joy Luck Club—if that makes any sense.  Bunny has a big imagination and every comic is equal parts clever and whimsical. It is an unconventional alphabet book way beyond “a is for alligator” and “b is for boy.” We liked the book so much we immediately looked up the author and discovered her blog, which we eagerly scanned through that night. We’ll have to write to her and request that she makes more Bunny comics.

Anyway, if you enjoyed the comic above, go check out her blog and buy her book.  HBB recommends it (just don’t mind how Bunny goes from being a girl bunny to suddenly being gender neutral)!
